So Matthew & I are having a little dinner date tomorrow night which I'm so excited for! BECAUSE he is grilling steak for the first time since we've been together. Just so we are clear, I'm a steak girl. If it's not cooked to my liking you're pretty much doomed.
Just so you know how seriously I take this, let me share a little story...
My mom and I took a little trip to Arizona to see my sister and my brother-in-law, Chad. Of course Chad attempted to make us steaks that night. This steak was the worst I've ever had in my life, I think I can still taste how horrible it was. AND it was so awful that I threw it off their apartment balcony while a lady was walking her dog and the dog immediately went insane for this steak as soon as it hit the grass. The lady thought her dog was possessed, she was so confused and frantic about what the dog was going after! It was pretty hilarious.
Now I know Chad would kill me for telling this story because his steaks have improved tremendously, and he just so happened to give us his marinating recipe for our steaks tomorrow night.
The point of this story is...
If Matthew Valentine screws up my steak, let's just say this whole blog could be completely wiped clean of Matthew on Sunday.
We shall see... DUN DUN DUN...

A Little Something
Never forget these feelings of a love so strong it can do anything. Don't be so quick to get angry or irritated, remember the smile on his face when he's trying to make you laugh. Never let the fire burn out between the two of you.
-Just a little something I wrote for me and Matthew when we bicker. Maybe it's something to think about in your relationship as well! :)
WELCOME!
If you've been following me for a while now, you can see it's been quite a long time since I've posted and I've changed a few things! So welcome to the new blog!
The Blog Title:
I chose "Keeping The Fire" for a new title because I felt it necessary since this blog is about two people, to share our ups and downs and what couples should and shouldn't do in relationships, dating and marriages. Now these are just my opinions and suggestions so don't take anything personally!
A little about Torry & Matt:
Matthew and I have been together for almost two years now, but we've experienced different situations with our previous relationships and managed to not bring a lot of baggage and past issues into OUR relationship. "Starting fresh" would be a good way of putting how we started out. Don't get me wrong, we have our own issues (what couple doesn't?) and that's what I will be incorporating into this blog. We are getting married in just a few months, April 20th 2013! Let's hope I don't get sidetracked this time and I will try my best to blog through all of our wedding activities! I'm also a student and working so hopefully I can squeeze in some time for blogging!
